A Message to Our Charter Members from our Acting CEO, Nik Trivedi: Driving Race Equity Together

At Sporting Equals, we believe that sport and physical activity have the power to bring communities together, create a sense of belonging, and drive positive change. As a valued Charter member, you are part of a collective journey to ensure that sport truly reflects and serves the diversity of Britain.

The Charter is more than a commitment — it is a shared movement to build inclusive, equitable and anti-racist environments across the sport and physical activity sector. When people do not feel welcomed or represented, they are less likely to participate. This is why our focus is on supporting you to actively create spaces where everyone feels they belong — on and off the field.

Our e-zine is a key part of our knowledge transfer offer, providing you with practical tools, research, case studies, and thought leadership to help embed race equity and inclusion within your organisation. At a time when conversations about equity, diversity and inclusion are becoming less prominent in some parts of the world, it is more important than ever that sport leads the way.

By working together, we can build a sporting landscape where inclusivity is not optional but expected — and where organisations take proactive steps to challenge racism and inequity. We look forward to supporting you on this journey and celebrating the progress we make together.

Thanks,

Nik
